Proficiencies#

Proficiencies are things for which your character has recieved training or otherwise become particularly skilled at. Most are related to the use of items. Certain actions cannot be attempted at all without the appropriate tool/item and proficiency.

Sometimes an additional selection needs to be made, such as a type of weapon or armor. This selection is made at the time of selecting the proficiency and is usually written in [brackets] beside the proficiency name.

If a proficiency has requirements that must be met before it can be selected, they are written in italics.

You have been trained in the use of the B&E kit. Gain a +2 bonus when attempting to unlock locks and disable traps while using the B&E kit.

Disguise Kit

Improved Ability

Level 4

Select an ability that forces an opponent to make an uncontested target roll (i.e. Suppressing Fire). Increase the target of the selected ability by +2. This proficiency may be selected multiple times; it may be applied to the same ability up to three times for a total target increase of +6, or may be applied to a new ability any number of times.

Vehicle Proficiency, KNO 2, INS 1

Select a vehicle type for which you have Vehicle Proficiency. Add your INS bonus to rolls to pilot/drive/ride the selected type of vehicle. This proficiency may be selected multiple times, each time applying to a new type of vehicle you have Vehicle Proficiency with.

Martial Training

Martial Training#

You have been trained to be as deadly without a weapon as you are when armed with one. Your unarmed attacks no longer take a -3 penalty, and may be used when making an attack of opportunity.

Medic Training

You have been trained in the use of medicine and medical equipment. Gain a +2 bonus when using the medical kit to heal damage or stablize/remove wounds and conditions.

Medical Instincts

Your experience with medicine and and trauma care benefits from your instincts. Add your INS bonua to rolls that benefit from your Medic Training proficiency.

Repair Kit

You have been trained in the use of the repair kit. Gain a +2 bonus when using the repair kit to fix or alter equipment, vehicles, and structures.

You are familiar with a type of vehicle. Gain a +1 bonus to rolls made to pilot/drive/ride the selected type of vehicle. This proficiency can be taken multiple times, each time applying to a new type of vehicle.

Weapon

You have specialized training in the use of a selected weapon type. Gain a +1 ATK bonus while using the selected weapon. This proficiency may be selected multiple times to improve different weapons, or taken up to three times on a single weapon for a max +3 bonus. Unarmed attacks can also gain Weapon Proficiency, but only if you have the Martial Training proficiency.
