Inventory Management#
A character’s equipment is often as crucial as their features. What they bring with them and what they can carry back make all the difference. When referring to a character’s inventory, there are two important limits to remember. If either limit is exceeded, the character is unable to move.
Max Weight#
If STR is positive or 0: Max Weight = 30 + (Current STR × 40lbs) If STR is negative: Max Weight = 30 + (Current STR × 5lbs)
The maximum amount of weight a character can carry and still move normally, as well as the maximum weight a character can lift over their head.
Max Bulky Items#
= 1 +1 per 3 points of STR
The maximum number of bulky items a character can carry. Bulky is an item tag used for items that are awkward to carry, usually due to their size. Even if a character is well below their max carry weight, they can only carry a certain number of items with the bulky tag. Equipped items such as worn armor or items equipped to body slots, do not count toward a character’s max bulky item count.
Equipment Body Slots#
Items muat be equipped into a bbody slot to be used effectively. Only one piece of equipment can occupy a body slot at a time (with the exceptiob of subslots, see below). The nine body slots available with examples are:
- Head: Helmets, hats, masks.
- Chest: Ammo, kits, pouch sets
- Neck: Necklaces/amulets, capes/cloaks
- Back: Ammo, air tanks, backpacks, weapons
- Arms: Bracers, wrist mounted tools/weapons
- Hands: Gloves, rings
- Belt: Ammo, kits, pouch sets, weapons
- Legs/Feet: Ammo, small kits, boots
Some items use a subslot, such as head [HUD]. These items allow the use of the primary slot in addition to the subslot. You can equip multiple subslots on any of the body slots as long as only one of each type is used.

Equipped Armor#
Items carried in hand and armor do not take up a body slot unless specified. Armors that include a helmet take up the head slot, bu some helmets can be swapped out for other headgear at the discresion of the GM as long as the new headgear does not interfere with the function of the armor (such as the helmet of a space suit or heavy plate armor).
