What This Means#

You are free to:

Share: Copy and redistribute the core rules in any medium or format.
Adapt: Remix, transform, and build upon the rules for your own games.
Use: Run games, create characters, make adventures for personal use.

Under the following terms:

Attribution: You must give appropriate credit to “These Lucky Stars by Sword in Board Workshop,” provide a link to the license, and indicate if changes were made.
NonCommercial: You may not use the material for commercial purposes without permission.
ShareAlike: If you remix or build upon the material, you must distribute your contributions under the same CC BY-NC-SA 4.0 license.

Attribute system and derived stats
Combat rules and procedures
Defense, Vitality, Wound and condition systems
General character creation framework
Core proficiency and ability mechanics
Generic equipment rules
All content included in setting starter packs

What’s NOT Covered by This License#

The following are NOT part of the SRD and remain under standard copyright:

“These Lucky Stars” name and logo (trademarks)
Setting-specific content and lore included in published expansions.
Specific equipment, weapons, armor, and item catalogs
Artwork and graphic design
Published adventures and scenarios

Examples of Permitted Uses#

You CAN:

Run These Lucky Stars games for your friends
Post session reports and actual play content
Create homebrew content for personal use
Share house rules on forums or social media
Make character sheets and reference tools (non-commercial)
Create fan content and share it freely
Write blog posts or reviews about the system
Link to or reference these rules in your own free RPG content

You CANNOT (without permission):

Sell These Lucky Stars content or derivatives
Use “These Lucky Stars” name/logo for commercial products
Republish the complete setting guide or paid content
Create commercial products (paid PDFs, apps, etc.) using this system
Remove attribution to These Lucky Stars or Sword in Board Workshop
Claim you created the These Lucky Stars system
